RED'S PYRAMID

The Making of Red's Pyramid - The Movie

This is a text that outlines the concept of The Triangle Project’s artist project to take place on the island in June 2008. The project is much more the act of doing the actual film, than the film itself. It is the process and interaction that is the performance/art. The final result of the film is not as important, but of course will be a part of the project.

Treatment

A family lives on an Island outside the rest of the world. The family consists of a three children. The oldest son named Icarus, the youngest son Leonardo and the little sister named Star. The father was a former horse jockey named Red and the mother who was a former fighter pilot was named Blue. In the house they also had a spirit named Ultra Violet.
Now they live on the island and Red and Blue's only focus in their life these days are to keep visitors out of the island. They have claimed the Island theirs and theirs alone, for them and their family.
Sometimes the Island gets visitors, but they must always undergo rigorous investigation by Red and Blue that has set up a visa system for the island, that only very few people qualify to pass through.
Red has also dedicated his life to build a pyramid out of 1200 squares, and he is in a hurry because it has to be ready before the solstice.

Icarus

At a very early age, the oldest son Icarus learned to fly. But after the Towers fell, he has not been able to fly and only rarely dream about flying. In the beginning of the story he and his co-pilots attend a huge
meeting for the annual Gang meeting in Empire City's Obelisk Park. Here Icarus hears music by the great Snöleoparden that all of a sudden makes him levitate. The President of all the gangs Art Diktator saw Icarus levitation and brings him to his quarters. He wants to know the trick and when Icarus does not show him, because he
is too scared, Art Diktator and his men starts torturing him. They put him in a orange jump suit with a black hood over his head. As we see Blue on the island wondering where her son is, he breaks loose with the help of his co-pilots, and in the same time severely hurts Art Diktator. We follow The Co-Pilots trip through the Jungle to get back to safety on island.

Leonardo

The youngest son Leonardo never learnt to fly, as his father after the Towers fell, only could focus on building the Pyramid and keeping people out of his island. Instead Leonardo spends all his time in his room drawing scenarios that he also composes his own music to. These drawings turn in the scenes around the island in the form of music videos.

Star

The little girl named Star who is the youngest in the family and born after the Towers fell, has the soul of one of the people who jumped out of the Towers. She can fly at anytime but she is not allowed to leave the island or show herself to the visitors that sometimes insist coming to the island. Star spends most of her time in the attic of the house talking to Ultra Violet, hearing stories about her friends The Angels.

Red

The fathers name Red came from the days when he was a radical communist back when he was young. This in combination that he always wore red clothes, ate red food, drank red fluids and rode red horses. His biggest problem was that he only spoke the truth. This was also the reason he and his family was sent to the island, so he could not talk to people and tell them things they did not know. This is also the reason he was so hard on who was allowed to visit the island. His system of selecting the people was based on their ability to being able to hear the truth. After the Towers fell, Red had a terrible urge to build pyramids. Online, he had become obsessed with ordering square modules of 40 x 40 centimeters size that came delivered from far away to the island, every week by their delivery man Mr. Wild West. In the same way that he once had been obsessed with the color red, Red had since the Towers fell become obsessed with the idea of building a pyramid out of the 1200 squares he had calculated that he could order until Solstice. By Solstice, the pyramid had to be finished at all cost.

Blue

The mothers name Blue came from the time she had bathed in the river of Ganges, as after it her skin had a blue shade. She had also purified her husband Red, but in the process become polluted. She only wore denim, and when Red left the island once a year, she wore her Stetson Cowboy hat that she has hidden in the attic. She was adopted by a President who insisted on teaching her to fly airplanes
at a very early age. She had grown up in airplanes all over the world and also been in many wars as a fighter pilot, where she had shot down hundreds of enemy airplanes. Blue and Mr. Wild West had a flirt
going, as Mr. Wild West was Blue's only way out from the island. It was as if Blue could not keep that idea out of her mind. It was her dream and nightmare. The more she thought about it, the more attractive Mr. Wild West seemed to her.

Art Diktator

Art Diktator had come to Empire City as a Rock Star before the Towers fell. He had played in all the hip clubs, had all the hottest models and made tons of money. After the Towers fell, his powers became stronger than ever and he fed on the cities fear. He thought that if he could suck the fear out of people he could gain enough energy to fly.
He had built his empire on loans for plastic operations, tooth braces and silicone implants, selling gasmask kits, Swedish anti-depressants, pepper spray, tazers, fake visas, Ritalin for children, artificial sugar, flavor, color and milk. He also had his own TV channel from where he spread the advertising for selling his products with breaks for hardcore porn and escort services.

Ultra Violet

Ultra Violet was chosen to be the spirit for this family, and especially keep an eye on little Star as she had a special purpose for humanity. Ultra Violet had lived many lives and experienced all the necessary things to be the spirit for this family.

Mr. Wild West

The delivery man of news and packages to the island with a dark past. He was a terribly handsome man who had been a fisherman on the waters in The Great City. One day when he sat in his boat and looked over the cityscape, he saw a man jump out from The Tower. The man had built his own wings and with the hot air from the Golden Horn, he smoothly glided right into the middle of the water close to his boat.
The wings that the man had straddles on his back had become heavy from the water, but instead of helping the flying man, Mr. Wild West sat in his boat and watched the man drown and sink into the depths of the water. The jealousy and hate he had felt from seeing the flying man, who had dared to jump out from The Tower was so strong that he would rather see him drown than help him out of the water. However, the man's jump from The Tower had pushed him to go the The Empire City, where he had heard that the tallest Towers in the world stood. He had the idea that if he could jump out from the Towers and land safely on land, he would be forgiven for not helping the man in The Great City. The day after he arrived to The Empire City, the Towers fell.
